Susan Mary Magrini

Susan Magrini passed away peacefully at her home in East Sandwich, Massachusetts on September 21, 2022 from the effects of Huntington Disease.

Born in Chicopee in 1952, Susan is the daughter of Christos M. and Katherine D. Manitsas. She graduated from Chicopee High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from Kent State University. Susan's working career included a number of senior management positions in the Dietary Services Industry, notably with Sodexho USA, Marriott and Aramark. Through these associations Susan formed strong personal relationships with a large network of people throughout the world. She and her husband Joel moved from the Springfield area to Cape Cod in 1989. Shortly thereafter they welcomed her mother Katherine into their household. Together they enjoyed a rich family life for the next 27 years. Susan's interests included travel and friends (two and four legged ones). Her personal charm and beauty will be missed by all.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years Joel Ferris Magrini, and a brother Dennis Manitsas and his wife Sondra Lisson of North Reading MA.

Calling hours will take place at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home (www.dignitymemorial.com) 154 Rte 6A, Sandwich, MA 02563 between 10am and 12pm on October 1, 2022 followed by a private burial.
