Sean P. Merrill

MERRILL, Sean P., 42 of Chelmsford passed away on June 25, 2021 after losing his battle with addiction. Sean was born in Lowell, MA, March 15, 1979 and was a graduate from Nashoba Valley Technical High School, majoring in Electrical from 1993-1997 where he was the Captain of his wrestling team and football team, helping lead them to a championship in 1996. Although some may have considered him a jock in those days, as his life will have showed, he always had a heart for the underdog. His best friends were usually those who had some sort of challenge in life. And this is when his heart started his legacy of helping/loving people.

Sean's proudest job was as Executive Assistant & Community Relations Liaison at Teen Challenge where he helped people get to recovery, helped them through their grief, or just helped them by lending a hand. He would drive hundreds of miles to pick you up if you called him in trouble, and get you to where you needed to be. It was a gift he had because of his heart and his love for God. He was loved by the countless people he didn't even know he helped. Sadly Sean never saw his own self worth and relapsed, succumbing to the disease of addiction like so many others.

Sean is survived by his mother Cheryl Juaire and her husband Peter. His father Robert Merrill, Sr. His wife Elizabeth Merrill and son Jonathon. His daughter Seanna Lemos, husband Matt and their 2 children.

Siblings Robert Merrill, Jr, his wife Kendra and their children Timothy and Kaitlyn. Stepsisters Danielle Juaire and Renee Maxwell and her children Daniel and Madison. Sean was preceded in death by his younger brother Corey Merrill, who also lost his life to addiction ten years earlier. He is also survived by Corey’s daughter, Faith Merrill.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday July 1st, 11 AM at Sacred Heart High School Auditorium, 399 Bishops Highway, Kingston, MA. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday June 30th, 4-8pm at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 RT. 6A Sandwich, MA.
