Patrick "Paddy" Lynch

Lynch – Patrick, 92, of Sagamore Beach, passed away Sunday, December 27 at his home. A native of Kilfenora County Clare, Ireland, he was the son of the late Thomas and Margaret (Marrinan) Lynch. Paddy studied Electronics at the Royal Air Force College and was selected to support radar technology efforts during World War II. Patrick immigrated to the United States in 1951 but remained proud of his Irish Heritage. He lived in New York City working for City University of New York until 1988 and later moved with his wife Mary to Sagamore Beach.

He was a member of the Irish American Club of Cape Cod, the County Clare Assoc. of New York and the Hibernian Society of New York. He marched for many years in the New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade representing County Clare. He volunteered for Cape Cod Meals on Wheels - delivering meals to the elderly. He also delivered meals to the homeless through the Needy Fund on Cape Cod and the New Bedford area.

Beloved husband of Mary (nee O’Loughlin) Lynch for 58 years. Loving father of Kevin of Stowe, VT, Mary McHugh and her husband Patrick of Providence, RI, Patrick and Joseph of Cape Cod, Catherine Pauling and her husband Richard, of Duxbury. Loving grandfather of Nicole, Kyle, Daniel, Michael, Peter, and Jessica and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews in Ireland and here in the US. Loving brother of Mary Cassidy of Carron, Ireland and was predeceased by sister Bridget, and brothers Michael, Jack, Christopher and Patrick’s twin, Joseph.

His Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2015 11 a.m. at Corpus Christi Parish 324 Quaker Meeting House Road, East Sandwich. Interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Sandwich. Visitation Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 154 Route 6A Sandwich, MA. Memorial contributions in Patrick’s memory may be made to St. Vincent De Paul Society, c/o Corpus Christi Parish, 324 Quaker Meeting House Road, East Sandwich, MA 02537.
