Our beautiful mother, Mary Frances Wattles (Born January 9th,1930) died peacefully on December 6, 2024 at the Maplewood at Mayflower place assisted living in Yarmouth, MA. She was almost 95! She is survived by sons: Benjamin Wattles of Norwood, Ma. Peter Wattles of Walpole, MA, and Gary Wattles of Centerville, MA. Her daughter Sarah (Sally), and a granddaughter Alice Mary of Whitefield ME. She is preceded in passing by her son John Wattles of Sandwich, Ma.
Our mother had a rare resilience and strength. She lived life with a sense of optimism that was enviable. Mary was an avid gardener, and talented artist who was very involved with the Barnstable Art association. She was a great contributor to Al-anon for many years and was a supportive friend to many. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
There will be a Celebration of Mary’s life on January 11th at 2pm at the Barnstable Unitarian Church in Barnstable MA.
