Mary R. Quinn (Aceto) of Sandwich, MA died peacefully on Friday evening March 18th at Keystone Place Bourne, MA. For 68 years she was the beloved wife of Robert G. Quinn. Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on October 16, 1932; daughter of the late John and Rose (Curcio) Aceto and was a graduate of Cambridge Rindge & Latin School.
She was a lifelong homemaker raising her 4 children; Jody of Plymouth, Doreen of Falmouth, Jeffrey of Milton, NH & Robert and his wife Alison of Sandwich.
Over the years she worked part time for the Yankee Clipper Restaurant and the Sandwich High School Food Service system.
She loved to travel in their camper during her long retirement covering much of the USA - enjoying the sites, sounds, and people. She resided with her husband for many years between Sandwich, MA and wintering in Bradenton, FL.
She took up golf later in life and really enjoyed the fun that it brought.
Mary is survived by her sister Jeannette and husband Edward Glebus of Plymouth, MA, and her Brother Gabriel Aceto (Johnny) of Toronto, CA.
She was predeceased by her brothers; Carmine Aceto, and Leonard Aceto.
She is the proud grandmother of 6 and great grandmother of 11, she also had many nieces, nephews, and friends who gave of their time to call and visit while she was at Keystone Place.
Visiting hours will be at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 154 Rte. 6A Sandwich, MA on Wednesday March 23rd from 4pm - 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday March 24th at 11 am; Corpus Christi Parish, 324 Quaker Meetinghouse Rd. East Sandwich, MA. Followed by an interment service at the Massachusetts National Cemetery; Connery Avenue Bourne, MA.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of Keystone Place and Beacon Hospice for the outstanding care and compassion given to Mary during her past two years there.
