DOUGLAS, Marjorie Mae (DUSTY) (Mabey), 96 of Southboro and Sandwich, passed away on September 29, 2021 at Cape Heritage Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. Marjorie was born to the late Hervey and Florence (Stewart) Mabey on August 5, 1925 in Newton, MA.
Marjorie graduated from high school and went on to receive her RN nursing certificate at the Framingham Union Hospital (Now Metro West) school of Nursing, Cadet Nursing program, during World War II. Marjorie worked at the Framingham Union Hospital and Cushing Hospital in Framingham.
Marjorie was married to the late Frank John Douglas for 52 years before his passing in 2000.
Marjorie was an avid ballroom dancer and also enjoyed swimming and traveling and friends.
Marjorie is survived by her son, Steven and his wife Rene' Douglas of Sandwich, MA, a daughter Diane E. and her husband Michael J. O'Leary of Southboro, MA. A sister Laurie Embry of Illinois. Marjorie had five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is preceded in passing by her husband Frank J. Douglas and her three brothers: Earl, Gordon, and David Mabey.
A graveside service will take place at 11am on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at St. Stephen's Cemetery, Fenwick Street, Framingham, MA.
In lieu of Flowers, donations can be made in Marjorie's name to Athena Hospice Services of MA.
