Born in Sandwich, MA, a daughter of the late Edward and Marjorie K. (Decker) Elvander, she resided most of her life in Buzzards Bay.
Louise, a 1952 graduate of the Henry T. Wing School in Sandwich, worked most recently as a cashier for Ocean State Job Lot and Ames and previously as a hostess/cashier at the Wagon Wheel Restaurant and Quintal's Restaurant.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Patricia Bruce of Salem, OR and Nancy Paquet of Kenly, NC; a son, Edward Bruce and his wife Amy of Falmouth, MA; 3 sisters, Judy Ghoslin of New Mexico, Mary Reid of New York and Jean Reardon of Connecticut; a brother, Robert Elvander of Maryland. She was predeceased by her brothers George Elvander and David Elvander. She was the grandmother of Jayme, Christopher, James, Adam and Molly and great grandmother of Jeannie, Eddie, Austin, Jason, Serenity and Julieana.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Royal Falmouth Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and Fidelis Hospice for their loving and compassionate care of Louise.
The family will be having an informal gathering on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Route 6A, Sandwich, MA. Interment will be private.
