Lorraine was born on September 28, 1957 to the late John and Salma Pambuko. She was born in Roslindale and spent her childhood in Westwood before moving to Sagamore Beach with her parents and siblings in 1968. She graduated from Sandwich High School in 1975 and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.
Lorraine married the love of her life, Peter Thompson, in October 1987. They designed and built a beautiful contemporary home in Sagamore Beach. Lorraine loved the ocean and enjoyed spending time on the local beaches with her friends, and her daily get togethers at the local dog park with her dog Chance , her many friends, and their pups. She had a passion for all things Cape Cod, from walking the canal daily with her many beagles, to fishing and lobstering with her father. As a teenager, she could be found at the snack bar at the Scusset Beach fish pier helping her parents during the summer seasons.
Lorraine was a talented guitarist and accomplished musician. She shared this talent by establishing a music and art studio during the 1990s, giving music lessons to children and adults and hosting regular recitals. After selling the business, Lorraine obtained her real estate license and became a professional realtor and property manager.
Lorraine will be remembered for her love of family, her kind and generous heart, her extraordinary affection for all animals (especially beagles), and her deep fondness for the ocean. Rest in peace, Lorraine, you will forever be in our hearts.
