John Joseph McDonald Jr.

John J. McDonald, Jr., of Sagamore, passed away on Saturday, June 4th, following a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Eleanor C. (Tassinari) McDonald. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Sara McDonald and two siblings Shirley McDonald and Donald McDonald.

Mr. McDonald retired from the Bourne School System having served as the Transportation Coordinator for more than 10 years; prior to that he operated his own bus company. He was a Korean War Veteran.

Mr. McDonald leaves a sister, Mary Jo Barnes and her husband Charles and several nieces and nephews. A special appreciation given to JML Care Center, Falmouth Hospital and Mickey Tassinari for their kind and compassionate care.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 12 noon at Corpus Christi Parish 324 Quaker Meeting House Road, East Sandwich. Interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Calling hours Thursday, 4 – 6 p.m. at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 154 Route 6A Sandwich, MA.
