James J. Hulse of Sandwich, formerly of Wakefield, died on Monday, August 13, 2012 at the age of 84. He was the husband of Mary P. (Murphy) Hulse. Born in Somerville, he was the son of the late Ernest and Mary (Williamson) Hulse. He was a veteran of the US Navy and a former executive with the Boston Shipping Association for many years. Besides his wife, he is survived by his four sons: James M. Hulse, Christopher Hulse, Mark F. Hulse and Daniel Hulse; two sisters: Nancy (Hulse) Kiernan and Margaret Hulse; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold and William Hulse. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11:30 AM on Friday, August 17, 2012 in the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Route 6A in Sandwich followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 12 PM at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 324 Quaker Meeting House Road, East Sandwich. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Cape Cod Hospital, PO Box 370, Hyannis, MA 02601.
