Heather Ann Bowen

Heather Ann Bowen, 42, of Sandwich, MA, died March 22, 2017. Heather was born July 5, 1974, in Weymouth, MA, the daughter of Thomas and Geraldine (Tosney) Bowen. Heather grew up in Pembroke, MA, and graduated from Silver Lake Regional High School in 1992.

Heather was happiest surrounded by animals. She loved and excelled in her career as a certified veterinary technician at Mid Cape Animal Hospital, Marstons Mills, MA, and Buzzard’s Bay Veterinary Associates, Buzzards Bay, MA. Over her lifetime, she blessed many pet dogs and cats with unconditional love and affection.

Heather is survived by her parents, father Thomas and stepmother Lisa Sarno-Bowen of Medway, MA, and mother Geraldine Bowen of Sandwich, MA, sister Carrie Bowen of Uxbridge, MA, and brother Thomas (TJ) Bowen of Medway, MA. She also is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Heather is preceded in death by both her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home in 154 Route 6A Sandwich, MA. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 28, from 4 – 8 pm. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 29, at 11 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church in Sandwich, MA. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA) Cape Cod, Centerville, MA.
