He was born in Boston, MA to John and Bunny Bissett (Standish) and grew up in Roxbury, MA with his four older brothers John, Ronnie, Gene and Neal.
He attended Boston Trade High School, sang acapella with the Crystals on the Nantasket Ferry, spent several years in the Army and had a construction company on the cape for 25 years. He retired and pursued his favorite pastime of Striper fishing full time. He managed to turn that hobby into a year- round one with the meticulous care of his equipment (in the living room) and planning of fishing trips well in advance.
George entertained, taught, aggravated and thoroughly loved us and will be missed by his wife, Deborah, son Justin, daughter Alison and Logan, the best dog in the world. He is also survived by his brothers Ronald Bissett and Gene Bissett both of Port Charlotte, FL and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations can be made to the Centerville MSPCA, 1577 Falmouth Rd., Centerville, MA 02632.
