Erik Konrad Knaus

Erik is lovingly remembered by his wife Greta (nee Johnson), children Konrad (17), Ingrid (15), Lars (10), parents Dennis Knaus (wife Katriona nee Buckley) and Gayle Potichny; beloved brother to Kurt (wife Mary Ann nee Paratore), Gretchen (Matthew Eddy), Brigit, Michael and Andrew; brother-in-law to Karl Johnson (wife Jessica nee McCabe) and Sarah Kanwal (husband Amrit). He was the treasured son-in-law to John and Deborah Johnson.

Erik was born in Akron, OH, and grew up in Centerville, MA. He was a graduate of Avon Old Farms where he was a high school All-American lacrosse player and Syracuse University where he earned a B.A. in Business and was a member of two NCAA National Championship lacrosse teams. Erik and Greta met in middle school, dated through college and were married for over 23 years. Erik worked as a Sales Executive for Johnson & Johnson for the past 17 years where his outstanding sales career earned him numerous special recognitions and awards. Since moving back to Cape Cod in 2004, Erik had been actively involved in the Sandwich youth lacrosse programs, where he was an admired and respected coach and mentor. He will be remembered as a devoted husband and father, a highly accomplished athlete, avid outdoorsmen and inspiration to many young athletes. Above all, he was a passionate and dynamic man that will be dearly missed by his friends and family.

The family will receive friends to pay tribute at Corpus Christi Parish in Sandwich on June 8th from 4pm to 8pm. The funeral is scheduled for June 9th at 11am at Corpus Christi Parish in East Sandwich, MA. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Erik's life.
