The Daughter of the late Samuel Kofsky and Elizabeth Kofsky, she graduated from Brown University and went on to Bridgewater State College to get her Masters in Education. She taught elementary school in Bourne for 23 years and she worked for the American Red Cross during World War 2.
Ann is survived by a daughter, Lesley Jennings and her husband Karl; a son James Sparks, Sr and his wife Cheryl; and Tom Sweet her brother-in-law. Predeceased by her sister Millicent Sweet.
She is also survived by three grandchildren, Cheri Groves, Jimmy Sparks, and Jessica Hegarty: and six great- grandchildren Christopher, Courtney, Meghan, Shannon, Liliana, and Siena.
The family would like to thank Dr Mark Collins, the staff of Cape Regency Nursing home and hospice for the wonderful care they provided. They were her angels.
Visiting hours will be May 4, 2019 from 12-2 pm with a short prayer service at 1:45 pm at the Nickerson Bourne Funeral home on 6A in Sandwich, MA. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the MSPCA or IFAW.
