Daniel Robert Travers

Daniel R. Travers, 60, affectionately called “Duck” passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He is predeceased by his parents Paul and Louise (Colizzi) Travers, brothers Peter and Paul and many Boston relatives.

He leaves behind 2 sons, Danny Travers (wife Shelly) of Spencer, MA and Dylan of Sandwich, MA, his oldest brother Mike Travers, a beautiful granddaughter Payten, his aunt Rita and many cousins.

He was a proud member of Local 88, Tunnel Workers Union of North America. He had worked on many Boston’s big tunnel projects with his fellow sandhogs.

Dan had many fond memories of growing up in Northboro, attending Grateful Dead concerts and enjoying an ice cold Heineken. His favorite past times were surfcasting and driving on Sandy Neck Beach, relaxing at the Cape Cod Canal and cooking a delicious barbecue.

His greatest joy was watching his two sons become hardworking, responsible, kind and caring men.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a luncheon on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the Pilot House on 14 Gallo Rd., Sandwich from 12-3 PM.
