Born May 1928 in New York City, she soon moved with her family to upstate New York. She returned to New York City in the mid-1940's to start a family with her husband, Carlos, a WWll veteran. Together, they raised 6 children (Sylvia, Linda, Elizabeth, Carol, Carlos Jr. and Amelia...all of whom survive her), eventually retiring with her husband to Cape Cod.
Alice was extensively involved in many parish and community activities both in New York and on the Cape. She cooked for Elder Services as senior aide for the Meals on Wheels program. She taught crocheting in elementary schools. She enjoyed raising her beloved pets, crocheting gifts for family and friends, and her occasional jaunts to the local Bingo hall.
Alice (aka,"Mima" and "Mama Sosa") will be dearly missed by her surviving children, 9 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother Celia, her father Pablo, 4 sisters, 1 brother and her loving husband of 52 years, Carlos.
Services were held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery on January 29, 2021 in Bourne, MA.
