Roberta Cowley Lewis

Roberta Anne Cowley Lewis, of Carmel, CA passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 4, 2014. Born April 3, 1944 in Hackensack, New Jersey, She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Cowley and Antoinette Cowley Garbett.

She is survived by her daughter Amanda Lynn Lewis, son-in-law, Chris Dedman, Granddaughters Eloise and Zoey, and her sisters Antonea Beckerman and Regina Gardner and their families.

Robby was an active member of her local community, volunteering at CHOMP, fundraising for the Salvation Army, and advocating for Italian Greyhounds Rescue and the SPCA of Monterey County.

In her twenties, while living in New York City, Robby enjoyed success as a Broadway actress, as well as a satisfying career in modeling.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, January 10th at Keaton's Mortuary in San Rafael, CA with Rev. Christopher Martin officiating.

The family will receive friends at their home both on Thursday, January 9 from 7-9 pm and immediately following the service on Friday at 56 Park Ridge Rd, San Rafael, CA 94903.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA of Monterey County.
