Bruce Curtis Blevins Of Marin County, CA died April 8, 2013 from complications related to a stroke. He was 74. He was born Feb. 25th, 1938 in Rochester, NY to Russ and Miriam Blevins. The family moved to the Portland, OR area in 1950 and Bruce was there until he went to Monterey, CA for Army reserve boot camp in 1963. Once he experienced the beautiful California sun and lifestyle he never returned to Oregon. He met and married Lynda Jane Foley in 1964. They moved their family a number of times but they always returned to his true home Marin County. He had a very successful and prominent career in the radio industry both in San Francisco and New York City. He began his long career in radio at KSFO in San Francisco in 1964 in Sales and eventually became General Manager of a number of stations in San Francisco including "The City" and KNEW/KSAN. He is survived by his wife Lynda Blevins, children Elizabeth D'Aloisio, Leslie Blevins and Scott Blevins, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, his brother Jack Blevins and his beloved dog Maxine. His true passions in life were good books and playing tennis. At his request a service will not be held.
