Christopher Ian Hansen was born and raised in Washington State and spent the majority of his life in the Pacific Northwest, which he loved. He sadly passed away in Palo Alto, CA on April 20th, 2024.
He was so greatly loved by his family and we feel his absence every minute. He was most known for his beautiful sensitive heart. Nothing was more important to Christopher than relationships especially with his family. He took such joy in bringing others happiness by using his great sense of humor to make someone smile with a joke, story, or fun fact. He was the first to encourage, listen and believe in others and had incredible generosity. He noticed and saw how people were truly doing, genuinely cared and would do just about anything to lift their spirits. Christopher was the king of good deeds and acts of kindness and often would do them anonymously. He was a champion of the underdog and believed everyone deserves respect and kindness. He loved to bring extra money with him to the grocery store and pay for people's groceries around him anonymously. On several occasions he would send money to his mother and sister requesting for them to spread kindness with it because of the joy it brought him. Christopher loved to hear and share the stories of the acts of kindness. Christopher had an endless love of learning. His range of interests in college included math, computer science, engineering and informally he spent countless hours using his hands to learn the ins and outs of engines, cars and bicycles. His comprehension of what made things go was incredible. His hobbies included cycling and working on his cars and bikes.
Christopher proudly served in the United States Air Force from 2005-2009 as an Electrical and Environmental Systems Journeyman. He joined the military with the intention to serve as he was needed and selflessly deployed 3 times during the Iraq war where he was stationed in Iraq and Qatar.
Some of Christopher's favorite roles were a son, brother, uncle and grandson. He is survived and missed by his mother Deanna Hansen, father Kevin Hansen, sister Devin Terry and his brother in law and nephews Kevin, Bear and Finn Terry. He is also greatly missed by his grandmother Merna Holmes and his aunts, uncles and cousins.
The world was a better place with Christopher in it. In lieu of flowers, help us honor his passion and keep his legacy of helping others by finding someone less fortunate or someone in need and bless them with a random act of kindness such as a smile or a monetary gift.
