Beverly Eileen Field of San Leandro died on Sunday Feb 3rd after a brief illness. A long time member of the Alta Mira Club of San Leandro, Mrs. Field was often know as the "Piano Lady" having played many civic events around the East Bay for many years. She was married for 47 Years to Dr. Donald W. Field, a Podiatrist and busy civic leader, practicing in San Leandro since the early 1950's. Born Beverly Eileen Hacker in Cheyenne, Wyoming in 1921. She met and married her husband Donald only three weeks prior to his being shipped off to Europe as a G.I. in World War II. Beverly and Donald moved to the Bay Area after the war and gave birth to two sons, Jeffrey and Gregory.
Beverly was preceded by her husband Donald in 1987 and her older son Jeffrey in 1994. She is survived by her brother Byron Hacker of Cheyenne, Wyoming, her youngest son Gregg Field a musician in Los Angeles, his wife Monica Mancini and her daughter in-law Adrian (Suzy) Field and her grandchildren, Jennifer and Shannon Field.
