Antonio was born on June 13th, 1935 in Catbalogan, Samar, Philippines. He graduated from the Philippine College of Criminology (PCCR) in Manila, Philippines, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce.
After graduation, he went on to become a hard-working, honest and dedicated police officer in the Western Police District (WPD). Shortly after retiring from the WPD, he served in the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) as an investigator. He also served as a professor at the PCCR where he also pursued his dream of becoming a lawyer taking up his Bachelor of Laws degree which he satisfactorily finished.
Both in the government service, Antonio and wife, Evelyn, had to raise eight children, all of whom went to school and finished their respective courses. Hard-working and a good provider that he was, he endured the challenges of doing multiple jobs to earn a living enough for a household of ten.
