Dear Mom, Today has been 4 years since you've passed & not a day goes by that I don't think of you.  I miss you so.....  I was reading scriptures last night regarding heaven.  How you'll take on a different body; most likely spirit form; however, loved ones will recognize you; thus, you must be very happy connecting with many past loved ones, especially Ethel, Raymond & Maurice - your children that went on before you.  No more physical pain; only peace.  The scripture also states you'll be singing praises daily to our GOD; however, will have tasks that you will do which is fitting to your nature, hmmm, sewing angel garments?  I share with my grandchildren memories of you, so that they will know you even though you're no longer with us.  Love, your eldest daughter, Shirley

Today is Wednesday, 01/04/22, realizing it was 2 years today that I was with my Mother in the hospital, waking up shortly after Midnight hearing her final breath.  As hard as that was, I know she was ready to go & know that through her faith with her Lord Jesus Christ, she is in a better place.  We're the ones left behind to mourn & miss our loved ones.  I know that she would not want that; thus, we must use the lessons we learned from her & carry forth to live our lives to love others & teach them, including my grandchildren, about the faith she had. Was fortunate to house & dog sit at my Mother's home while my brother was on another cruise.  Thus, in memory of my Mother, I made a Christmas Eve dinner, setting her table in her formal dining room.  In hindsight, I should have used her beautiful china; then again, they were reserved for the Christmas Day dinner.  She loved Christmas - how I miss her so much; however, she was here in our hearts as my son & grandson Robert the III enjoyed it.   

My "2nd" grandson, Robert III, having Christmas Eve dinner at my Mother's home in her formal dining room on her blue willow dishes.  The first time for me to cook up a Black Forrest Ham, sweet potato casserole with brown-sugar glazed walnuts, asparagus, homemade bread, jam & cranberry sauce with Martinelli's for our beverage.  Oh, don't forget the shrimp appetizer. For dessert we had pumpkin & pecan pie.   In memory of my Mother's sit-down dinners.  

 Today it's been two years since you left us & not a day goes by that I don't have thoughts of you & missing you.  However, I know that you're better off, no more pain & feeling the glory of heaven.
 I recall how you loved the New Years Day Pasadena Rose Bowl parade always looking for the float that the Odd Fellows entered.  Well, I watched that parade on your behalf & it was an awesome float in recognition of our wildlife.   With love, your daughter Shirley

As a child the memories were family gatherings at George and Wilda's.  I loved the holidays when we would all fill the house while Wilda was cooking a meal in her kitchen, then she would move the meal to her kitchen table and we would fill our plates and move to the family room where she would have a table set up.  She was always cheerful and loving of us kids.  I sure miss those days when the family lived close together and I admire her bond with her family and friends.  You will be missed Aunt Wilda.... I have many fond memories of my Mother; however,  one that stands out is a small family reunion that we had a few years ago with photo posted.
I was with my Mother when she passed & know now she is no longer suffering & is at peace.
Thank you all for your love & support during this difficult time.  I will greatly miss her.
