Virginia Viera Young

Virginia Young was born on December 26th, 1926, on the sparkling island of Puerto Rico. In the 1950’s Virginia migrated to New York, then California where she later settled in San Jose. Along the way, Virginia gave birth to Eva, Ana, Jose, Hector, Robert, David, Felix, and Kiki. These children would in turn add numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren to Virginia’s ever-growing family. All who share a love for both their grandmother and the delicious Puerto Rican food she would prepare. Virginia loved that her children took over the tradition of preparing her special dishes for the future generations of her family to enjoy. Virginia enjoyed many activities during her life, but she was especially fond of trips to the casino and most of all, spending time with her family.

As was her last wish, Virginia passed away peacefully at home in the early hours of August 5, 2024. And while she will be greatly missed by a multitude of friends and family, we take comfort in knowing that she now resides with our Lord in Heavenly Paradise.
