The Phamily of Thu Thi Nguyen (Mama Pham) is deeply saddened to announce her passing on 17 November 2022, at age 68. She was born in Long Son, Vietnam in 1954 and spent her life as a caring and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. Her loved ones were with her in her passing.
Thu Thi Nguyen was a resourceful and resilient woman who worked tirelessly to provide for her family and ultimately supported many to escape war-torn Vietnam. Faced with adversity in foreign countries, her strength was unwavering, and she was able to support her family to grow them into the accomplished individuals they are today.
She lived her life in service to others, touching everyone she encountered with her generosity. Family, friends, and even friends of friends will forever remember her for her open arms and delicious food.
She was dearly devoted to family, calling everyone to the family home every evening with her home-cooked meals. She was a pillar in every community she was a part of, from supporting relatives in Vietnam to distributing Banh Tet for Lunar New Years to sharing eggrolls with her neighbors.
She is survived and greatly missed by her husband Phuong Van Pham, five children and respective spouses, eight grandchildren, siblings, nieces/nephews, and family dogs.
The Phamily is sincerely grateful to the many people who reached out with support and care during this time of loss.
