Tom R. Holman was surrounded by his loving family in his final days, passing away on March 10, 2023. He was born in San Jose and was a blessing to his parents. He is survived by his beloved son, Tom G. R. Holman, his mother Rina M. Holman, sisters Ann-Marie Lombardo (Tony), Roberta Hendryx (Jerry), sister-in-law Debbie Holman, two step children and two step grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Tom also leaves behind his most dedicated companion dog, sweet Dallas.
Tom is predeceased by his loving wife Patty, his father Robert D. Holman, brother Jim Holman, grandparents Tom and Josephine Spano, Uncle Sal Spano, grandparents J.W. and Nelle Holman.
When Tom was a young boy, he spent time mowing neighbors lawns, hanging out with his brother and friends, or helping his grandmother when she was making wonderful Italian desserts.Tom graduated from Del Mar High School, attended West Valley and Mission Colleges, studying fire science. As a young adult, he was a volunteer fireman while working other jobs. Tom became a Safety Commercial Sales specialist and outfitted many job sites with safety equipment throughout the Bay Area, including Levi Stadium. Tom was a dedicated husband to Patty, caring for her during her illness. He loved sports, especially football and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed playing golf, especially tournaments. Tom enjoyed poker games with his friends. He was a people person, loved and was loved deeply. Tom loved to cook and barbecue with his smoker and shared this love with others. Tom had a great sense of humor and was always joking around. But, most importantly, Tom’s pride and joy was his son, Tom. Tom’s signature was being in a baseball cap and Tommy Bahama clothes.
