Theresa Hernandez Ortiz

Theresa Hernandez Ortiz beloved wife mother, grandmother great-grandmother and sister passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 surrounded by family. Theresa was born in Del Rio, Texas on June 17, 1929. She was the 6 out of 9 children.

She was a devoted and caring wife, loving mother to Esther, Williemina, Richard, Carmen, Irene, Julia, Carlos, and Margaret and a beloved friend to all.

She is survived by her husband, love of her life, William G. Ortiz of 68 years, her sister Carmen Garcia and brother Robert Hernandez, her 6 daughters and son, 22 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Theresa will be missed by family and friends and long be remembered by all who deeply loved her. All are welcome to attend a visitation being held at Oak Hill Funeral Home on Sunday, July 9, 2017 from 9am till 9:00pm with a Vigil service beginning at 5:00pm in Chapel of the Roses. Monday, July 10, 2017, Mass begins at 10:00am at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 2980 Senter Road, San Jose, CA 95111. Burial to follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Avenue, San Jose, CA 95125.
