Thanh Du Huynh, 84, of Milpitas, California, passed away at Stanford Hospital surrounded by his family on September 27, 2015. Thanh is survived by his wife Ky of 60 years, his children, Hieu, Nghia (Thuy), Trung (My), Lisa (Quoc), Lana (Albert), Tin, Trevor (Tom), Tom, Yen (James), and many loving grandchildren, Jennifer (Khim), Jonathan, Heidi (Alex), Justin (Jacqueline), Brittany, Lydia, James (Isabelle), Joshua, Orlando, Christopher (Jared), Jennifer, Andy, Timothy, and Zoe . Thanh was a loving devout Catholic and a stoic man by nature. He naturally instilled in all nine children and thirteen grandchildren the real meaning of accountability, honesty, integrity, and perseverance. Thanh was a businessman by trade, but he loved to engineer from scratch and would re-create objects to be user-friendly for the visually impaired. In addition to being talented, he had a priceless smile and a heart of gold that he shared with his family and with everyone he has crossed paths with throughout his life. Visitation will be from 11:00AM until 9:00PM on Thursday, October 15, 2015 with a Vigil and Rosary held at 7:00PM at Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park (300 Curtner Ave., San Jose, CA 95125, Phone: (408) 297-2447). Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Old Saint Mary’s Cathedral & Chinese Mission (660 California St., San Francisco, CA 94108, Phone: (415) 288-3800) at 8:00AM-10:00AM (Rosary, Mass & Final Viewing). Thanh’s Procession & Burial will be held Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park from 11:00AM to 1:00PM. Floral Arrangements can be delivered directly to Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park on the morning of the viewing.
