Steve passed away peacefully Nov. 5, 2014, in San Jose. Born December 25, 1956, in Woodland Hills, CA to the late T. William Nakagawa, Ph.D. and Hamako Nakagawa, he is survived by his loving wife LeeAnn of 29 years, sister Diane Nakagawa Jew (Tom Jew); mother in-law, Tomiko Handa (the late Jingo Handa); sisters-in law: Karen Vitug (Ron), Cindi Handa (Kevin Page), Melani Woodard (Larry), loving and very proud Uncle to Tyler, Dylan and Kyle Jew, Kaitlyn Vitug, Kylie and Alexis Page, and Matt and Cassie Woodard.Many thanks to the compassionate doctors and staff who cared for him, and Vista Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired who helped Steve adjust to his vision loss.A memorial service to celebrate Steve's life will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery's Chapel of the Oaks, Sat., Nov. 22, at 1pm; on-site reception from 2–4pm.
