Mrs. Rosalie Lara Sanchez Lopez, born on May 10, 1952 in Brawley, California, to the late Margaret Mendoza Espinoza and the late Joe Lara Sanchez, passed away at age 67 on February 18, 2020 in Modesto, California.
Rosalie, a.k.a. Rosie was an only child who grew up in San Jose, California. She was a school bus driver for 18 years and last worked with Alum Rock Union School District.
Rosie had a heart of gold and an infectious smile. She loved the Lord, Jesus Christ and served as a volunteer at Cathedral of Faith for 18 years in various capacities, including a greeter in hospitality, newcomer’s ministry, sewing ministry, women’s and men’s ministries, and was a leader for the Celebrate Recovery ministry. Her family was her priority and she enjoyed traveling and spending time with them.
Rosie is survived by her daughter, Corrina Lopez and her husband Jose Santiago; her son, Raymond Lopez Jr. and his wife Anita Lopez; daughter Leticia Lopez Robinson and her husband John Robinson; and daughter Angelina Lopez Santiago and her husband Cesar Santiago; grandchildren, Federico Segovia Jr., Priscilla Rivera, Rosemarie Ramirez, Alexandria Lopez, Gilbert Ray Ramirez, Marissa Santiago, Katalina Santiago, Angelica Vasquez, Johnathan Vasquez, and Cesar Santiago Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Xzavier Segovia, Valentina Segovia, Nevaeh Pando, Mia Pando, Aliyah Pando, Raymond Rivera, Presley Medeiros, Joeziah Ramirez Nava, Joevony Nava, Izaiah Nava and Keano Nava, all, who loved her tremendously.
