It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Priscila Miranda Urquico, affectionately known to many as Taba and/or Precy, who peacefully passed away in her sleep at home on December 1, 2024, at the age of 74.
Precy made the courageous journey from the Philippines to the United States in 1979, where she quickly found her place and built a new life. Later that year, she married the love of her life, Rustico Urquico, in November 1979. In October 1980, she became the proud mother of her only child, Pamela, a joy that brought her endless pride and happiness.
Precy had a long and fulfilling career as a U.S. Postal Worker, retiring after many years of service as a window clerk. Her friendly smile and warm demeanor made her a favorite among customers, and she took great pride in her work.
She was a devoted grandmother to Peyton and Callen, and she loved spending time with them, making cherished memories that they will carry with them forever. Her hobbies included knitting scarves for her family and friends, as well as visiting the casino, where she found joy playing the penny slots.
Throughout her life, Precy faced many health challenges, including surviving two heart attacks, but her strength and resilience never wavered. She was an incredible example of perseverance, and her ability to continue living life with grace and humor was truly inspiring.
Priscila is survived by her husband of 45 years; Rusty, her daughter, Pamela, son-in-law, Edgar, and her two beloved grandchildren, Peyton and Callen. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her love and memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
A private service will be held in her honor.
Rest in peace, Precy. You will forever be in our hearts.
