Patricia Gainor, 93, entered into rest on January 22, 2022. She joins her beloved husband, Leo Gainor, who preceded her in death on December 16, 1990. She was one of four children born to George Thomas, Jr. and Mary Ethel Griffin. Patricia is preceded in death by sisters Theresa Hartley of Detroit, MI, and Mary Jean Eglinton of Loveland, CO. She is survived by her children Karin Gainor, Kevin Gainor, and grandson Jacob Cannon, San Jose, CA, and her brother Thomas Griffin of Ruidoso, NM.
Patricia was a devout Catholic, parishioner, and past employee of Holy Spirit Church. She was active in the widow’s group at Holy Spirit and enjoyed her volunteer work with Loaves & Fishes for many years. Patricia loved to travel, read, watch ice skating and the 49ers. She especially adored her dog Murphy.
Patricia’s courage, strength, and love of life have been an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be dearly missed.
Funeral Mass April 8, 2022, at 10 AM at Holy Spirit Church, 1200 Redmond Ave, San Jose, CA 95120.
