Our Pops passed away on Tuesday after a courageous battle with dementia. He went comfortably and peacefully in his home with his family by his side. Pops was a devoted husband, a loving father, and proud grandfather who worked hard and provided for his family. His kind spirit, generous heart, and infectious smile will be missed greatly.
Preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Mary Ann. He leaves behind his daughter Veronica Vargas Soliz (Marcelino), granddaughter Angelica Vargas (Ignacio Gonzalez “Nacho”), granddaughter Monique Soliz (Hector Felix), grandson Joshua Soliz, his great granddaughter Olivia Soliz, and is survived by a son, Angel Vargas (Diane).
Thank you to his dedicated caregivers, the caring home health professionals, and the hospice team – you all provided Pops with the best possible care he could have asked for.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Lima-Erickson Memorial Chapel 710 Willow Street, San Jose at 11a.m. on March 17th, with interment to follow at Mission City Memorial Park 420 N. Winchester Blvd., Santa Clara.
