Our beloved mother Lydia Lara, eighty-two of San Jose received her much-deserved angel wings on February 17, 2022. Lydia was born to Francisco and Florencia Ortiz on September 2, 1939, in the small town of San Jose, Arizona. Lydia comes from a family of eleven siblings who all moved to California in the 1940’s when she was a child. She was a wonderful homemaker who raised three daughters, Alicia Schoolcraft (Gary), Rebecca Tafoya (Pat), Linda Escudero, and one son, Vincent Lara Jr (Dolly). She is also survived by grandchildren Monica (Eric), Jesse (Lilia), Olivia, Vincent III and great grandchildren, Angelena, Manuel, Alejandro, Julian, Isabella, Jewelie and Nathan. She is predeceased by her husband Luis and grandson Ernest Orta Jr. and great grandson, Miguel Ruiz.
Lydia absolutely loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She very much enjoyed the drives to Reno, playing Bingo, going out to restaurants and most especially family holidays and events. In her younger days she was quite the dancer.
Our sweet and loving Mom will be missed greatly but remains in our hearts and minds forever. Until we meet again Querida Madrecita.
