Lydia C. Fernando, age 74, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2014 in San Jose, California. She was born in Paniqui, Tarlac, Philippines, the daughter of Paolo Curamen and Paz Pacariem, on March 27, 1940.
Lydia thoroughly enjoyed cooking, cleaning the house, and dancing. She loved Ballroom Dancing and even led Line Dancing in many parties that she attended. She and her late husband, Dr. Nestor Fernando, always won Dance Contests during their younger days in their hometown in the Philippines.
Lydia is survived by her children and their spouses: Rowena Fernando-Marcos, Ferdinand L. Marcos, Dr. Elmer C. Fernando, Helen Espinola Fernando, Dr. Rene Chito C. Fernando; grandchildren: Ferdinand F. Marcos II, Sofia Ellen, Julia Ellen, Criselda Ellen, Miguel Alberto; siblings: Myrna Macaraeg, Ligaya Hilario, Edgardo Curamen, Cesar Curamen, and Nestor Curamen.
She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends here in the Untied States and in the Philippines.
