Lucy G. Moreci of San Jose passed away October 14, 2021 at the age of 79 due to complications from her courageous two-year battle with cancer. Lucy was born on October 31, 1941 in Manila, Philippines. She was the eldest of five siblings. There, she attended Arellano High School and earned her Bachelor's of Science degree in Commerce from Far Eastern University, Manila in 1963. Soon after, she emigrated to the United States. She first lived in San Francisco, California. Lucy married her first husband and had their first child in 1968. Shortly after, Lucy suddenly became widowed and three years later would marry her second husband. They moved to San Jose and had her second child in 1972. There, she worked and subsequently retired from Pacific Bell in 1993. Several years later, she started a second career working for the County of Santa Clara Superior Court. Lucy enjoyed gardening, crocheting, antique furnishings, and fashion, to name a few. She was a truly devout member of the Catholic Church. She served as a Eucharistic Minister for St. Christopher’s and Santa Teresa Churches, as well as belonging to the Small Faith Group of Santa Teresa Church. Lucy is survived by her two children, Perry and Dawn, their spouses Lakshmi and Steve, her four grandchildren, Hannah, Maximillian, Sathya, and Sebastian. She is also survived by her youngest sibling, Eduardo, his wife Mildred, and their sons Patrick and Jeremy. She was preceded in passing by her loving parents, Emilio and Gloria, her brothers Johnny, Tony, and Felipe, and her husbands, William and Mark.
