Loretta Lew

Loretta passed away peacefully while at home after a 2 year battle with cancer. She was born in San Francisco to Betty and Richard Matsumoto Sr. She graduated from George Washington High School, SF, in 1964. In her 33 year career as a Legal Assistant, she made many life-long friends. Loretta will be remembered for her classy looks, high fashion sense, wicked sense of humor, and a love for visiting Maui.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Ronald, cherished daughter, Jeanenne, and beloved dog, Kody. She is survived by her mother, Betty Matsumoto; brother, Richard Matsumoto Jr.; sisters, Myra Rico (Ralph) and Ginger Matsumoto-Herrera (Carlos); her sister-in-law, Sandy Freeman (Mitchell); nieces Lisa Rico, Ashley Herrera, and Shayla Freeman; nephew Matthew Freeman; and great nephew Devon Rico-Keenan.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, Nov. 25 at Oak Hill Funeral Home located at 300 Curtner Avenue, San Jose, in the Chapel of the Roses at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation made in her name to Livestrong.org or to the American Cancer Society.
