Lorenza "Loring" E. Amian, aged 89, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024 in San Jose, California. Loring was born in Sangil, Ilocos Norte, Bacarra, Philippines to parents Isabelo and Augustina (Eder) Edralin. She was one of ten children born to the loving couple and sadly the last of her siblings to be called home to her glorious and loving Father in Heaven.
Lorenza, or "Loring", as she was fondly called, loved her prayer books, and word search puzzles. They kept her mind sharp and helped to occupy her time. She enjoyed testing her knowledge against shows like Wheel of Fortune and the Family Feud. Loring enjoyed listening to music. Connie Frances and Patty Page were some of her favorite singers. Loring loved to sing. Her favorite songs that come to mind were "Mockin' Bird Hill", "Paper Roses", "Somewhere My Love", and "Be Happy, Be Happy today".
Loring was very strong in her faith and had a tremendous love for the Lord. She always told her children she was their 2nd God on earth! Sharing her laughter but teaching them to be gracious and not to forget to pray. She was always very friendly and did what she could to help others no matter the size of the task. She faithfully reminded her children and grandchildren, saying "The power of prayer is the most powerful weapon you have in your everyday life! Always remember to pray and to thank God. Love God with all of your heart. Remember to be grateful, and thankful and have a compassionate heart." Those words of wisdom will forever be ingrained in the hearts and minds of her family.
Loring in her 60's, developed an adventurous spirit. She always wanted to be "gallivanting" somewhere she hadn't been. Eating at new places or enjoying the company of her family. She had experienced the drop zone, plummeting to the earth from far above only secured by a nylon rope. After 65, she discovered jet skiing. Holding on tight to her daughter and pushing the limits of speed. The faster it went the happier she was. No wonder people considered her the "life of the party" with her great sense of humor, adventurous spirit, her love of people and laughter.
Loring is survived by her loving children: Arceli Redfern (James), Rina Lorenzo (Felix) Rogelio Amian (Angelita), Angelito Amian (Kiri), Florizel Fears (Darrell), Eden Dever (Robert) and Grace Melchor (Manuel). She was blessed by grandchildren: Katrina Griffin (Peter), Justin Lorenzo (Amanda), Jordan Lorenzo, Xerna Lorenzo, Jasmine Amian, Roan Amian, Jase Amian, Kaiano McMurry, Branden Dever and Tatiana Martinez. Her heart grew even bigger when her great grandchildren where born: Keira Griffin, Kelsey Griffin, Kassidy Griffin, Lucina Lorenzo, Xander Lorenzo, Elena Rae McMurry, Daphne Lee McMurry and Isla Luna McMurry. Loring was an aunt, niece, cousin and a great friend to all who had the pleasure of getting to know her. She will be missed and remembered by many.
Loring has joyfully reunited with her loving family who were brought home to the Lord. Her parents, Isabelo Edralin and Augustina (Eder) Edralin, daughter Maria Dolores Amian, and all of her siblings:
Augustine Edralin, Nicomedes Edralin, Antonina Calderon, Caridad Robles, Nicasio Edralin, Mateo Edralin, Juanita Acoba, Manuel Edralin and Flora Butac.
