Larry Espinoza passed away on September 8, 2022 in Gilroy, California. He was 63 years old. Larry was born on August 11, 1959 in San Jose, California, to Lusio and Esther Espinoza. He was the third of six children. He grew up in Alviso, California before moving back to San Jose as a young adult. He was a loving father, son, brother, and an uncle to many nephews and nieces.
Larry loved sports; mainly the San Jose Sharks, the Oakland A’s, but above all he was a die-hard Raiders fan. He loved his family and was very supportive. If anybody in the family had a birthday party, a game, or life event, they could count on Larry being there. He loved cars and liked to work with his hands. He began working at age sixteen, and worked most of his life as a machine operator; working with wood and sheet metal. He loved comedy and he was fairly quick-witted with a wicked sense of humor. He was a great story-teller and a loyal friend.
Larry is survived by his son Raymond, his honorary son Michael Durgin, his sisters Gloria and Mercy, and his brother Chris. He is reunited with his parents, his brothers Sammy and Dory, and his son Larry Jr. He will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial on October 14, 2022.
