June Black

Our loving mother, June Black passed from this life peacefully in her home in San Jose with her children at her side. She spent her 76 years filling our hearts with love and memories that we treasure. June is predeceased by her husband, Joseph R. Black, and their daughter Tammi Marie Black, and leaves behind her loving children Debi Sargent and Erik Black, and grandchildren Allison and Megan Sargent and Nikolas and Kristopher Black.

June was born in San Francisco on June 14, 1936. She married the love of her life, Joseph R. Black and moved to Burlingame where they started their family with the birth of their daughter Deborah June in 1957 and precious Tammi Marie in 1959. The happy family moved to their home in San Jose in 1966 with their third addition, a beautiful newborn son, Erik Robert.

Mom was full of love, which she generously gave to everyone. Her passion was her family, and we could not have been more blessed. She shared her love in caring for children throughout her life right into her seventies. She was known to most as "Junie" or Auntie Junie", and a few of us were especially fortunate to call her "Mom". She was happiest when helping or caring for others, her home was open to all, and you never left hungry.

Mom, thank you for filling our hearts with love, may we forever share this love that you so generously gave to all of us.

A memorial service will be held at graveside Monday, April 15, 2013 at 11AM at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
