Julian entered heaven on August 21, 2022. He was devoted husband, beloved dad, amazing Papa, loyal friend and loving son, and uncle to his family. He lived his life with compassion, kindness and positivity for everyone he met.
Julian was born in East Bernard, Texas. His parents moved the family from Texas in December, 1955 to Fresno, CA. He graduated from Washington Union in Fresno, CA. He served in United States Navy and was honorably discharged in January, 1970. He met his soulmate, Priscilla M. Cruz, in Fresno in 1970. They married and moved to San Jose, CA to build a loving life together. He graduated with an Associate Arts in Fire Science from San Jose City College. He joined and worked for United Airlines until his retirement on August 4, 2004.
Julian was a master of gardening, fixing cars, working on home projects, cheering on his grandchildren during soccer and rugby games, enjoyed fishing and boating. He traveled the world with his adoring wife, Priscilla, exploring China, Italy, France, and Australia with their lifelong friends Larry and Florina Gallegos. With all that they saw, they always brought treasures home to family and friends to share they explorations.
Julian is survived by his beloved wife, Priscilla; loving daughter, Nicole Munoz and son-in-law, Mauricio Salazar, adoring grandchildren Paloma and Benicio; loyal son, Adrian Munoz. He is also survived by his father, Julian Munoz, Sr., his mother, Margaret Munoz, his sister Maria Acosta, his nieces, Veronica, Regina, Angelica, his nephews, Hector, Matthew, Joaquin, Roman and his many great grand nephews and nieces. He joins his younger sister Eloisa Garza in heaven. He loved his family and ensured they knew how much he loved them with his warm embraces and kind smiles.
Friends and Family are invited to a visitation on Monday, 9/12/22, at the Willow Glen Funeral Home from 5 pm to 9 pm, Rosary will be at 7 pm, 1039 Lincoln Ave, San Jose, CA. Funeral Services will be the next day, Tuesday, 9/13/22 with 11 am mass at St. John Vianney, 4600 Hyland Ave., San Jose CA, followed by burial at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 2650 Madden Ave, San Jose.
