Juanita Walker passed away Saturday September 23rd, at the age of 81, at The Rose Garden in San Jose, CA. Juanita was born in a house off Dry Creek Road on April 21st, 1942. The third of five children, she lived her whole life in San Jose, and was a faithful 49ers and Giants fan. Juanita is survived by her children, daughter Tammy Walker Thornton, husband Steve, and their children Travis and Jessica; and son Terry Walker, and his children Jared and Karli. She is also survived by sister Trish Gamet, and her daughters Raeann and Debbie; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. She is preceded in death by her Mother and Father, Ada and Elmer Larue, her siblings Quinton, Beatrice, and Judy; her furbaby Jamie, her first love and husband Cecil Walker, and her last love Warren Larmer. Juanita was loud, proud, and over the top in nearly everything she did, she wasn't just "The Life of the Party" she WAS the Party! She loved extravagant holiday decorations and costumes, and seeing the joy they brought to others. She was a character herself: Superstar, Glitter Girl, always the star of our show. Juanita loved hosting game nights and calling B-I-N-G-O, drinking Franzia wine, listening to good music, and dancing the night away. She loved to go crabbing on the wharf in Santa Cruz, boating at the Delta, or gambling at the Penny Slots! A life well-lived, wild and free. A fiery, vivacious, compassionate woman that will stay in our hearts forever. In the words of one of her favorites Whitney Houston "We will always love you!" Juanita did not wish to have a large service, instead the family requests you to please share fond memories and enjoy a family game night and drink in her honor.
