Juan Antonio Perales, Sr.

Our beloved Father, Husband, Grandfather, Son, Uncle, Brother, and Friend; Juan Antonio Perales Sr. of Alviso, CA, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2018 surrounded by his family after a valiant battle with a serious health condition. His devotion to his family and firm belief in God, helped sustain him thru his illness and is ultimately what gave him peace. Juan Antonio Perales Sr. was born to Valente and Maria Del Rosario Perales, in Los Altos, Tamaulipas, Mexico on August 1st 1951. He was immersed in the Catholic community which would be his lasting livelihood. He was a member of the Asociacion Guadalupana at our local church parish and regularly offered his support at Sunday services as well with numerous church maintenance projects throughout his adult life. Our Father was blessed with an immense, loving family. He was the first born of ten children and was continuously sought after by all his family due to his generosity and humility. He was a giving and loving Grandfather who catered to the abundance of his Grandchildren whom will truly miss him. The simple daily pleasures of buying them ice cream or giving them candy treats were some of the things they always looked forward to after school. Father was a hardworking man who dedicated over 30 years as a member of the Laborers Union Local 270 where he collaborated on many impactful projects around the Bay Area working for Jensen Corporation. No matter what work site he was at, he was well-regarded by his co-workers due to his strong work ethic and kind, soft-spoken personality which made him very approachable. Father lived a very simple and selfless life and will be dearly missed by his family and friends and will be remembered as a caring individual with a strong Catholic faith. Our beloved Father will be deeply missed and he will forever remain in our hearts but we are comforted knowing he is resting in peace in our creators arms. Juan Antonio is survived by his wife Teresa Gonzalez Perales; sons Juan Samano and Jose Emiliano Perales and his daughters; Teresa Carrillo, Isabel Samano, Maria Rosario Sanchez and Alejandra Perales and his 16 grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend a Vigil Service on Monday, 29 October 2018 at 7:00PM at Our Lady Star of the Sea, 1385 Michigan Ave. Alviso, Ca. 95002. Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, 30 October 2018 at 10:30AM at Our Lady Star of the Sea, 1385 Michigan Ave. Alviso, Ca. 95002, burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, 300 Curtner Ave. San Jose, Ca. 95125.
