Josephine G. Silva

Josephine G. Silva long time resident of San Jose was born in Oakland Sept. 18, 1930 passed away Sept. 22, 2014. She was the youngest of seven children. Born to Anastacio and Barbara Garcia. She was the widow of Phillip Silva. Josie leaves behind her four loving sons, Michael (Lisa), Cliff (Bissy), Paul and Bernard. Her three grandchildren Phillip, Michelle (Mike) and Robert and two great grandchildren Michael Jr, and Rodney. Numerous nieces, nephews and loving friends. Josie retired from Almaden Winery and lived a full and active life. She belonged to many charities and would donate her money and time often. She was a longtime member of the Mexican Catholic Organization (MCO) which she loved dearly at St. Frances Cabrini Church which she attend every Sunday. She was also a member at Alma Community Center, which she loved to meet her friends and attend parties. Josie loved to throw parties, dance and sing karaoke. She also enjoyed playing bingo every Friday at St. Frances Cabrini. Most of all Josie loved her four boys and will be missed forever.

Friends and Family are invited to attend a Visitation at 5:00pm with a Vigil at 7:00PM on October 6, 2014 at Lima Family Erickson Memorial Chapel, 710 Willow St, San Jose, CA. A Funeral Service on October 7, 2014 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church at 10:00AM,15333 Woodard Rd, San Jose, CA. Burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
