It's still unbelievable that your gone, I will forever hold dearest the memories of our times together, your kindness, smile, thoughtfulness and all around great person that you were. You will always hold a special place in my heart and will never be forgotten.

Many of us have suffered many great young losses throughout the years; Joe will be another great loss we will miss tremendously. Joe didn't want to leave us; I know he fought hard to stay with us the day of his accident. He was living the best days of his life. Life was going so well,you were a hardworking man,you had the love of your life “your lady, your soul mate Ruth” who had your heart and I always thought" Ruth is such a lucky women to have a great man who treated her like a princess" joe you always talked about your daughter Amanda & grandson Alex whom you love so much and was so proud of Amanda. Recently you had  another great accomplishment that you were so proud of,” you were a Azorean brother”, just the week before your passing when we were camping together, I wont forget you invited Eddie & I to join you on your next bike run to go pass turkeys for the homeless. Always loved helping people and felt great about it.
 I loved your sense of humor. We were New Year's camping buddies for many years. You were Eddie's bestest of friends. We shared many laughs, some over Dave & Steve and your cowboy adventures that would make any women wished their man had a little bit of cowboy hee haw in them.You were so sincere, always treated me like a VIP when I was around you. I will miss our friendship, I could talk to you about anything and had the upmost respect and trust in you. You always had good things to say about my children and was so good to my dogs. Which I just adored, A pure heart of gold that we will all miss!! Rest in peace my friend until we all meet again.

My heart has broken into pieces knowing that you are gone. You were such a HUGE part of my childhood! Such beautiful memories that I will keep locked in my heart forever. Thank you so much for loving us with everything you had. You were so good to us kids, that even to this day we know without a doubt how much you loved us. One of the best memories of you that I will forever hold close to my heart is how every year on Christmas Eve, you dressed up as Santa Clause for us kids and came to surprise us with gifts! I will never forget that Tio. And I will NEVER EVER forget you! Your little "Boo Boo" will love you forever!  God Bless You Tio Santos. xoxo

I still cant believe that your really gone. It seem just yesterday that you were talking to me and telling me how proud of me you were and how you always wanted Fred to get a job, well he did it. My tio Jojo always wanted the best for me and my family he used to say "you better take care of those boys"and I would always tell him always no matter what. 
Even when i was a little girl you have always been sort of a father figure to me. I did make you a promise and i will keep it till the death of me i am going to quit smoking ! Wish we could have dont that together but we always used to say the same thing to each other I will eventually. :-) 
I could honestly go on and on about you and how great of a man you were to me to my family or just someone u had just met you brought a smile so many peoples faces. He told it like it was and had so much respect for people and had a heart of gold.
I love you to Tio Joe and I will always miss you ! Rest in Peace.

Rest in peace uncle Joe you will be truly missed by all that loved and new you. You brought a smile to everyone face and helped those in need. You were a truly wonderful and remarkable man. May god be by your side and may you smile from the heavens watching over are family. And may you forever be in are hearts.

By pure luck & coincidence I finally stopped at the Five Wounds Portuguese National Parish after 53 years of promises. It so happens it was the day of your funeral service with a thousand bikers of various denominations. During that day many odd tales made me write a poem connected to you that I dedicate to you & hope to share with you & St. Peter & Jesus & maybe even God.
