Joan Carol Campbell

She grew up in San Francisco and went to Balboa High School. She will finally join the love of her life George M Campbell. They met while patients at Hassler Health Home in San Carlos, CA where they both were being treated for tuberculosis back in the early 1950’s.

They raised 4 children together in long time home Cupertino, CA. She was both a stay home mother an executive secretary and finally retired for medical reasons in the late 1980’s.

She had a great sense of humor and was well known in and out of the family for her special tacos and fried chicken. She was also an avid crossword puzzle solver and was unbeatable at Jeopardy as well as Wheel of Fortune.

She leaves behind four children - Scott, Dan, Bob and Lori (Unsinger), eight grandchildren - Mark and Patrick Weisman, Kirsten, Alex, Emily, Ryan, Dominic and Keda as well as six nieces and a nephew - Jeanice McNamara, Tom McLennan, Kathleen Tucker, Barbara Van Valkenburg, Sue Rogers, Linda Haendel as well as many cousins on the Lauricella side of the family.

Funeral services will be held at Oak Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery 300 Curtner Ave, San Jose, CA 95125 on Sunday November 10, 2019. Memorial Service 10:30am to 11:30am, Committal Service 11:30 am to 12:00 pm. Reception to follow on Murphy Ave., Sunnyvale at (TBA at service)
