Jeanette Ann Woo was the first of four children born to Gim and Kuen Woo. She was raised in Madera in a traditional Chinese household with brothers Tom and Robert and sister Shirley. Jeanette earned a degree from Fresno State University where she met her husband John. The two were wed in 1974 and moved to Los Angeles to begin their lives together. In 1980 they welcomed their first son David, followed by Matthew in 1982. In 1984 they relocated to San Jose and their daughter Jessica was born in 1986. Jeanette spent the majority of her career as a respiratory therapist at Kaiser Hospital in San Jose, providing roughly 30 years of service before retiring in late 2013. Jeanette's life long priority was her devotion to family and friends. She raised three remarkable children and kept her husband in line. She was a life long skier in the winter and hiker in the summer. Jeanette was well educated and intent on her children being the same. The culmination of her passion and her hard work is three college graduates. Because of her dedication, her family has created the Jeanette Nill Memorial Education Fund.
Anyone wishing to contribute to the Educational Fund is encouraged to do so. Contributions maybe sent to St. Timothy's Lutheran Church and School, 5100 Camden Ave., San Jose, Ca. 95124. Attn: Jeanette Nill Memorial Education Fund.
