In 1959, during the crusade of Rev. Mariano Caneso, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior. He attended Independent Bible Institute in Laoag, Ilocos Norte and he graduated at The Way of Salvation Bible School in 1961. Following graduation, he was offered to teach and in 1963, he became the Principal/Dean of the bible school. At the same time, he became the President of The Way of Salvation Church Organization Philippines Chapter. Then in 1976, was appointed to pastor the biggest branch of the organization, San Pedro Church.
In 1979, Sidring and his family moved to the United States and he continued serving the Lord by being the Associate Pastor of the Stockton, CA branch of The Way of Salvation Church.
His interests included spending time with his family driving along Highway 1, especially Carmel 17 Mile Drive, driving to Stockton every weekend, gardening, and taking care of the chickens in our backyard. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Leonida C. Leones, daughter Grace and her husband Alex, son Godfrey, daughter Gladys, and youngest daughter Gayl and her husband Ted, and 4 grandchildren, Christian Andro, Kiana Ryo, Caile, and Landon Enzo, sisters and their husbands Azucena and Ben Dace and Angelita and Rudy Inong.
Sidring touched the lives of many people with his smile, generosity and his sense of humor. With all of you here, we are blessed that your lives were touched by him.
