This past May 3rd at 4:06pm, Gloria Jean Contreras took her final breath surrounded by her loved ones. The sun rose and the world welcomed Gloria on January 16th, 1947, a day the world became a little brighter. Gloria lived a full and warm life, filled with joy and laughter. We all can still hear her laugh now. She will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.
Gloria grew up in San Jose, CA, where she attended Overfelt High School. During Gloria’s years in San Jose, she enjoyed visiting and laughing with family, shopping, and always having her hair and nails done. Another favorite pastime of Gloria’s was going to the casino, it was her home away from home, where she would hit the jackpot every time – she definitely had lady luck on her side. Gloria was the most courageous, independent and strong willed woman you will ever know. She lived life to the fullest and always with a laugh. She could light up any room. She would do anything for her family and friends. Gloria loved everyone especially her family fiercely. She made everyone she knew laugh, cry, and/or clap with all of her stories she shared. Our family is comforted by the fact that Gloria is at peace and an Angel watching over all of us.
Gloria is survived by her two children Joe (Jessica) and Kelly (Tom)

Her Siblings Jenny, Robert, Henry, Pauline, and Dina.
