George was born in Syracuse, New York on December 18, 1941, to Francis and Kathryn Robillard. He grew up in Cortland, New York, where he attended Cortland Junior and Senior High Schools. He attended Cornell University on a National Merit Scholarship and graduated in June,1968 from Syracuse University, with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He spent the rest of his working years in the semi-conductor industry, until he retired in 2005
George is survived by his wife, Joan, of 36 years, by four sisters, Karen (Nick) Pace, Patricia Galutz, Kathleen (John) Stevens and Susan (Tink) Root, four brothers, Francis (Rosie) Robillard, David (Diane) Robillard, Duane (Mary) Robillard, and Charles (Beth) Robillard, four step-sons, Jeff (Erika) Christensen, Joren (Wendy) Christensen, Jasen (Jade) Christensen, and Joel (Shiree) Christensen and numeerous grandchildrren, nephews and nieces.
The things George enjoyed most were playing golf, (getting a hole-in-one), watching his favorite football and baseball teams and vacationing in Hawaii.
George was preceded in death by his parents, Francis & Kathryn Robillard and two brothers, Robert and Thomas.
