George Ray Acosta, aged 87, passed away on February 25, 2024 in San Jose, California. He was a native of this state and he served his country in the U.S. Army. George worked for more than thirty years in the construction industry.
George is survived by sons George Jr. (Ruby), Amador (Liz), daughters Yvonne and Ada and his grandchildren, Monquie, Melissa, Elissa, Alfonso, Marcus, Deanna, Sarah, Katelyn and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by his wife Edelmira, his son Giovanni, his father Felix Acosta and his mother Guadalupe Gallardo.
All are invited to a Rosary at 5 p.m., followed by a Visitation from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Lima Family Erickson Memorial Chapel, 710 Willow Street, San Jose. A Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 580 Jackson Street, San Jose. Burial to follow at 11 a.m. at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 2650 Madden Avenue, San Jose.
